My Story

So, it’s coming up to Christmas 2012 and I’m a very different person to the one I was the year before last—before I was a convicted criminal.
Now, I’m one of the 75,000 or so people who are convicted of drink driving offences every year and boy, would I change history…if I could.
Life was a breeze before that fateful morning. I was doing well at work as a sales manager, I taught at a dance school, helping little ones to point their toes beautifully and I was happy in my relationship with my boyfriend.
Then, after a night playing the tequila game –, the one where you drink shots very quickly, I had to get up and take my boyfriend to the train because his car had broken down. Some idiot went into me and I was breathalysed and that was it. My life was never going to be the same.
